I received new students today and I decided I wanted to divert from our class a little to directly paint something using values and to see what level my new students were in. I had a lot of fun with them and enjoyed their good effort.
This was a super fun event at Green Flash Brewery in Mira Mesa that I call Beer and Brushes! This group class we did some guided drawing and used ink to draw our favorite animals. We also used patterns to fill in the animal drawings that we made. We didn’t finish, but we will continue next class and go on to do more painting.
I had a small group today, but I think quality versus quantity sometimes is a welcome thing. I did get a lot of inquiries, but for whatever reason the timing didn’t stick as the summer has just arrived and many are graduating also. It’s been gloomy in SD, but my party consisting of lovely ladies from Louisiana were very lively and energetic; so much so that so many tourists kept coming over wanting to take their pictures.
