I always ask my students to practice and we share what we have been doing outside of class. It’s important to cultivate good art habits not only in class, but in our everyday life. I like drawing specimens once in awhile at the Nat.
I try to make a point to do art for myself so I don’t feel burnt out from only doing art for others or work. I think it’s important as an artist to keep art feeling fun otherwise what’s the point.
It was so nice to see my old students for a fun birthday painting party at the park in Mira Mesa.
We had a fun paint party in the studio for Joyce’s Birthday Party. We had a lot of fun painting sea turtles.
Every last Thursday I host a painting workshop at my studio in Mira Mesa from 7-9pm. I had a lot of fun with my group 🙂

Art brings people together- I had such a great group last night. I have been getting a lot of students lately and I have been enjoying making art with all of them. Depending on what my students want to learn I adjust my teaching style to hopefully fit with their learning style. more images on this link
I have been taking in-home clients and going all around San Diego to teach art. I work with student artists with special needs and I get pleasantly surprised by their creativity and skills. I sometimes feel like Hagrid meeting young wizards in the muggle world.
